Please meet our lovely founder of the Amethyst Legacy. This is Robin Amethyst. Her traits: Shy, Charismatic, artistic, heavy sleeper, and darn I forgot the last one. If it's important I shall mention it later ;)
Anyways, a quick introduction. I'm Evvie and this is my first, well Legacy, and first time blogging about it. I've actually had a really hard time sticking with a sim family for more than generation three. Here's hoping I can at least get to generation five. Wish me luck! I am actually a writer who is trying to publish a manuscript or two. And please do comment and let me know what you think. Here goes nothing. :)
And this is the first man to catch Robin's eye. Really I can't complain. (Cute)
Robin stood there, hopelessly dumbfounded. She'd never expected to meet such a hunk at the library. The place was usually empty. She swallowed hard. He was so cute. Fighting her painfully shy nature she stepped towards him. After all, she's a legacy founder.
Unfortunately, he had a girlfriend. And let me tell you she made sure it was known. The moment this hunk began talking with Robin she was swooping in there with that little girlfriend icon and giving Robin the stink eye.
It's okay. Robin cheered herself up by writing about her experience. Helped get rid of the sting. She'd get back out there tomorrow.
Then she ran into this cop at the park. He's kind of cute, Robin thought. She smiled at him and they shook hands. Robin caught a whiff of what he was making and turned her back for one moment to grab a plate from a picnic table and the guy had disappeared. :(
Later that night, while she sat on the toilet eating her food (yes, she's dirt poor. The toilet's as close to a chair as she gets) she wondered if there was something about her that seemed to make men uninterested.

The next day Robin awoke rejuvenated. There had to be a single guy around Pleasantview! And until he came along she'd focus on herself. Reading to increase her performance at the Journalism career track. (Her LTW is to reach level 10) |
Yes, she thought. She was going to focus on her.
And she was going to love it :)
Of course that didn't mean she wasn't going to look. "Ohhh," Robin said. "I like blondes." About a sim second later though, Robin realized he was a teen. Lame.
There were two places Robin loved to frequent; the bookstore and the art gallery, being an artistic sim and all she felt maybe she could find her counterparts here.
And she did! He smiled at her and she couldn't help but step closer. "Hi," she said, her voice almost a whisper. It cracked as she tried to speak up. "I love the composition of that statue."
"Definitely," he said. "It's as if you could tell what the artist was thinking."
Robin returned home. She slept, a fitful night's sleep as she dreamed about being alone the rest of her life. Maybe she wasn't cut out to be a legacy founder... And to top it off living on a lawn meant the paparazzi were able to creep and take pictures of her while she slept. Darn celebrity status gained by one of those unsingle guys...hmph.
But Robin couldn't give up. She was a founder. She sighed though. Young adulthood was already reaching its midpoint and what did she have to show for it? A crummy lawn and a promotion or two. Her boss had been calling her recently, maybe just maybe she should settle. I mean he seemed nice and always wanted to chat.
When the phone rang again she asked him out. A perfect date. The breeze blew softly and the sunset snaked along like peach fingers across the sky. And then she learned he was married. Totally and completely married. That skeeze!! Leading a girl on like that. Hmph. Kids too.
Robin needed a drink and bad. (Seriously, what's up with Pleasanview? No love for female founders?) What could she do? Set a fire and hope a hot, single fireman would come? No, she didn't even have the money to afford a stove or fireplace.
Once again, she sat down on that toilet, stuff her little simface, and thought. What if there really was no one out there for her?
Find out to who's door life unexpectedly takes Robin to next time on The Amethyst Legacy. :)
Please leave a comment! Hope you've enjoyed Chapter 1.
A quick thanks to Fury Red, whose wonderful blogs about the Mars and Heart families have inspired me to try my hand at this! :) Thanks!
